As part of its role as the digital transformation partner for EXPO 2020 Dubai, Siemens was tasked with ensuring that its smart buildings were sustainably managed, proactively monitored, and intelligently maintained.
The need: How might we design a real-time, multi-sensory control panel that enables building staff to monitor environmental vitals even in high-noise, low-light underground spaces?
The goal was to go beyond dashboards, and create a human-sensory interface that would reduce lag in awareness and response, especially in high-stakes facility management situations.
