What you'll do
Run and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS. Containerize and orchestrate workloads with Docker and Kubernetes. Build CI/CD pipelines that make shipping boring — in the best way. Define infrastructure as code with Terraform. Automate the routine with Bash on Linux. Keep systems observable with Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch — and lock them down with sound networking, security, and IAM practices.
Must haves
2 to 3 years of hands-on DevOps experience. Strong AWS cloud services experience. Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins. Good grasp of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. Linux administration and Bash scripting. Familiar with Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch. Solid networking fundamentals, security best practices, and IAM. Git and collaborative development workflows.
Good to haves
A reliability engineer’s instinct — designing for failure before it happens, measuring what matters, and treating toil as a bug to fix. Up for occasional in-person vision and strategy sessions, and bought into the mission: a million self-managed individuals by 2030.
